Laurence (Larry) Parnes has been practicing as a CPA (certified public accountant) for over 30 years and as a CFP (certified financial planner) for ten years. His ability to combine his tax and financial planning expertise has been invaluable to his clients in developing a plan to meet their life goals while reducing their tax obligations.
Becoming a CPA and CFP requires extensive studies at college and university levels and passing rigorous examinations. A CPA and CFP's are required to address stringent ethics guidelines and maintain education requirements on a continuous basis.
Larry graduated from the University of Miami with a BA degree and has worked as an accountant since then. In 1988 he decided that expanding into the financial services industry would be a natural blend with his CPA practice.
Working with clients to help them develop clear goals that are realistic is the number one priority for Larry. Seeing them reach their goals is a very satisfying. Realizing that a substantial portion of his clients assets are in retirement funds, Larry has made it a point to become an expert on retirement planning and management.
Larry joined Aspen Financial Management in 2003 seeing that the other members of that group have the same ideals and ethics that he shares. It has been a wise choice.
With offices in Miami, Florida and Angel Fire, New Mexico, Larry enjoys a busy lifestyle. Larry and his wife Stephanie have five children and six grandchildren. His hobbies include skiing, snow shoeing, hiking, and tennis. He also enjoys reading historical novels and books on business.
